A Duke or Duchess can either be a monarch ruling over a duchy or a member of the nobility, historically of highest rank below the monarch.This noble tittle is ranked higher than Earl and lower than Regent in nobility system of Europe. This tittle is granted to a certain person by King of a Kingdom, to serve the King by ruling over a province and expanding it, helping in building of the kingdom.
Requirements
To became a Duke, you don't need any in game mechanical requirements. A Regent can appoint upto 1 Earl for each castle the Kingdom own.
This role is mainly for Role Playing purposes.
Duties
Earl main duties are :
- Ruling over a province in a king's stead, trying to expand it
- Aid Regent/Kingdom in any possible ways
- Assuring King and Government safety
- Raise armies, even join them, in times of war
- Pay Taxes to king
