An Earl is member of nobility particularly a chieftain set to rule a territory in a king's stead. This noble tittle is ranked higher than Viscount and lower than Duke in nobility system of Europe. This tittle is granted to a certain person by King of a Kingdom, to serve the King by ruling over a province.
Requirements
To became an Earl, you don't need any in game mechanical requirements. A Regent can appoint upto 1 Earl for each castle the Kingdom own.
This role is mainly for Role Playing purposes.
Duties
Earl main duties are :
- Ruling over a province in a king's stead, trying to expand it
- Aid Regent/Kingdom in any possible ways
- Assuring King and Government safety
- Raise armies, even join them, in times of war
