By holding an hatchet you can chop some wood. Details on quantity of chopped wood and time can be found here: Obtaining Basic Resources
Search medical herbs
You can search the Forest for Medicinal Mushrooms. Time needed for finding items and their quantity depends on the Player Intelligence. You can find from one to 8 Medicinal Mushrooms and a Mandragora.
