1. Imprisonment, Mandatory Trial

A sentence can not be published, and therefore a player can not be imprisoned, without an official trial. Even if the criminal act is evident a trial process must be enacted. In this case, the process may be short, as the proofs will be clear, but the official trial of evidence must be enacted before any character may be fined or imprisoned.

Every Kingdom must have and pass valid Laws. For further details please see Declaring Laws.

A Judge may order to the Guard Captain to restrain a player for max 48 hours in order to prevent his escape during the trial period. The trial is mandatory and must be started and role played by the Court immediately upon a player being restrained in this way. If the player, after the trial is found not guilty, then he must be remunerated.


The Restrain act should be used only to prevent a player whom has committed a criminal act from fleeing. For each Restrain act, a trial should follow. It can be used in war time in order to block soldiers from arrive at destination (Battlefield).

1.1 Remuneration Formula

If a player has been put in jail without a trial or for an excessive number of days, he should be refunded.

In case the prisoner didn't loose a stat point during his stay in jail, he must be remunerated as follows:

max(2000, age (in days) * the number of excess days held * 2 silver coins)

In case the prisoner lost a stat pointduring his stay in jail, he must be remunerated as follows:

max(5000, age (in days) * the number of excess days held * 5 silver coins)

3. Confiscating items

A motivation must exist and must be specified in order to confiscate an item posted at the market. No trial is required but a strong reason should exists for confiscating items to a player.

Before confiscating an item, an IG message should be sent to the items owned, explaining the reason of the confiscation and giving a specific time to fix the problem.

If the above is not appliable (i.e. in case of war or if it's not possible to resolve the problem), the captain can avoid to send the message.

4. Arresting a player without a reason

Because the arrest of a character implies a forced transfer, arresting a player without a good reason or a suspect of a crime can be considered an abuse and lead as a minimum to a refund.
