Traveling in Medieval Europe

The Map
You can travel in Medieval Europe with the use of the Map.
Traveling by land
Movements are possible only between adjacent regions. With the Traveler Package Bonus it's possible to use the Fast-Track Net (moving between non-adjacent regions) and reduce time travel by 50%.
The standard travel time to move from one region to the adjacent one will be 1 hour. Time can be increased depending on the two regions terrain type:

Penalties
Lack of Shoes
Avoid it with: Traveler Bonus
A penalty will be applied to travel time if the character doesn't wear shoes or boots. A penalty of 50% will be added on travel time. On top to the normal wear off rate (1% a day), shoes will wear off when walking:

Excessive Weight
Avoid it with: Carry less items or buy a cart
If a char is traveling carrying more weight than he can (See Transporting items for details),a 10% malus on travel time is added for each 5 Kg in excess
Lack of Energy and Glut
Avoid it with: Food and sleep
Traveling requires a certain amount of energy and glut, respectively 4% energy and 2% glut for each 30 minutes of travel. If you don't have the required levels of glut and energy you will still be able to travel but with a malus of 400% on travel time.
Traveling by sea
Movements are possible only between adjacent sea regions. With the Traveler Package Bonus it's possible to use the Fast-Track Net (moving between non-adjacent regions) and reduce traveling costs to 0. The standard travel time to move is 1 hour for each crossed region. Travel costs are: 1 silver coins per hour.
Penalties
Excessive Weight
Avoid it with: Carry less items or buy a cart
If a char is traveling carrying more weight than he can (See Transporting items for details), a malus of 10% to travel costs for each 20 Kg in excess is applied.
If player owns a Professional Cart, the malus applied to travel costs are 10% for each 40 Kg of excess weight.
Not enough money
Avoid it with: Money
Traveling by sea requires a certain amount of money. If the character doesn't have enough money, he will still be able to travel but with a penalty of 400% on travel time.
